Since 1973, local fans have cheered on their beloved Royals in one of baseball’s most beautiful stadiums. Kauffman’s iconic fountains, alluring architecture, and unmatched tailgating experience makes it a memorable place to watch a ballgame.
Right now, Kansas City’s crown jewel ballpark, which was renovated just 15 years ago through taxpayer funding, Is now at risk of being torn down in favor of a downtown stadium which serves the best interest of the Royals ownership. By asking taxpayers to foot the bill of a stadium and tear down Kauffman, the Royals stand to gain utilization of hidden tax subsidies, additional revenue streams, and increased franchise value.
With Royals Ownership making a Strong push to get their new stadium paid for by taxpayers, opponents of the ballot initiative are encourage to band together and educate Jackson County voters about the facts and to also vote NO on the April 2nd ballot initiative.
